SciencePOD Partners With WWIS to Boost Science Stories

SciencePOD is the first content marketing platform to increase the impact of African scientists’ work through science stories

Dublin, Ireland & Randburg, South Africa, 12th March 2020— SciencePOD is pleased to announce the signature  of a partnership with WorldWide Information Services (WWIS) to increase the impact of research organisations across Africa, through quality science stories, now available in 9 countries.

This partnership stems from the increasing appetite to share the latest research achievements of research institutions and of the R&D activities of innovative corporations across the African continent.  This platform will help institutions and private and charitable organisations share the story of their research achievements to forge multidisciplinary collaborations. By explaining the latest work, the digital stories SciencePOD produces will help to increase usage of their original research papers and contribute to making the journals where they publish more attractive.

“We are delighted to collaborate with WWIS. Until now, there were few stories emerging from the labs across the African continent because of a lack of mechanism to bring those stories to the rest of the world,” says Sabine Louët, SciencePOD CEO, adding “SciencePOD will help put the important work carried out across the continent to the international stage.”

When it comes to accurately communicating the achievements of research and innovation, quality content is paramount, this can be achieved through science stories.  The SciencePOD platform is a first-to-market collaborative content creation platform that will solve the content ordering needs of many organisations, which until now, had little high-quality solutions available to them.

Public recognition for the work of scientists and their findings is essential for the way science is perceived.  Presenting research in a clear manner helps to foster a greater level of understanding and acceptance of its applications. “We are excited to bring this innovative content marketing and science communication solution to the industry, as we firmly believe that it will contribute to achieving greater exposure and impact of an author’s work throughout this region,” says Andre van Tonder, Managing Director, WorldWide Information Services.

No other content platform delivers compelling text, audio and video solutions like SciencePOD. In addition, SciencePOD provides a access to the broadest community of specialist content creators. Collectively, our 400+ members boast a collective expertise spanning the entire gamut of science, medicine and technology.
