The SciencePOD Story

SciencePOD is the brainchild of Sabine Louët, a seasoned science journalist and editor who brings 20 years of experience in science publishing. The company is headquartered in Dublin, Ireland, only a stone’s throw away from the Irish Sea. Keeping in line with this marine theme, SciencePOD’s parent company, Armor Media Ltd. – a digital publishing company – borrows its name from the Breton language word for the sea (armor). After all, it is the sea that physically connects Ireland with the rest of the world, and thus the name is a metaphor for our global remit.

Meet The Team

Sabine Louët

Founder & CEO

Sabine is a media entrepreneur, science communicator, journalist and editor with a keen interest in using technology to deliver improved editorial solutions and a vast international experience working across Europe, the USA and Asia. Sabine’s career in science and technology publishing spans over 25 years, and she has previously worked for international science publishing houses such as the Nature Publishing Group (now part of Springer Nature) and strategic pharma intelligence publishing house Windhover (now Informa). She speaks French, English, German and a little Spanish.

Karla Fallon

Chief Content Officer

Karla has over 15 years of international editorial and project management experience in academic publishing and international stakeholder communications. She has provided editorial and management services for international organisations, such as the East-West Center, United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS), UNICEF and the UNDP, as well as the European Parliament and the governments of Japan, the Republic of Korea and Mongolia. Karla holds a PhD from the University of British Columbia and speaks English, Spanish, Japanese and French.

Deirdre Wynne

Senior Project Manager

Deirdre is a senior project manager with 18+ years experience working across US multinationals and within the Clinical Research and Healthcare setting. She has experience managing projects with pharmaceutical companies, clinical research organisations, government/regulatory bodies, research collaborative groups and directly with researchers. She has also received Six Sigma Green belt and LCS Level 1c qualifications in lean project management methodologies.


Charline Pierre

Creative Director

Charline is SciencePOD’s creative director. She has extensive experience as a science journalist and a broadcast videographer and producer. She brings her expertise in communicating complex messages in a compelling and aesthetic way. She previously worked on prrime time scientific documentaries for belgian television RTBF, in Brussels. She also has first-hand experience of communication agency work. Now based in Paris, she produces videos from script to broadcast, bringing her unique signature art direction.

Joshua Neilly

Digital Growth Consultant

Joshua is a data-driven digital marketing entrepreneur with a demonstrated history of shifting the paradigm when it comes to organic growth and Ecommerce. He was instrumental in the remarkable growth of Namaste Technologies, responsible for all marketing activities as the company reached $1billion market cap. GBEANI (Great British Young Entrepreneur) 2019 Finalist Founder of Fat Fish Marketing.

Joshua Patterson

Digital Marketing Lead

Joshua AKA Dynamo comes from a background in the film industry, being a director and producer for multiple production companies. Well versed in social media strategy and digital marketing direction experience, combined with a base knowledge in computer science, Josh loves to adapt his skills to new challenges and projects constantly. He speaks English, a bit of German as well as Java, C# and Python.

Delia Termini

Digital Marketing Manager

Delia has a track record of successfully planning and executing digital marketing strategies — as well as web communication and social media management. She’s highly adaptable with written, creative analysis, and problem-solving skills. Her work with international tech companies and startup ecommerce platforms has led to experience in both B2B and B2C marketing. A native English speaker and fluent in Spanish, Delia studied English and Latin at Trinity College, Dublin.
